Donna's story

I cannot cut my toenails. They are growing curled due to the way I walk, as I have cerebral palsy, and they need to be cut in a special way so I don't get in-growing toenails. I can only get this done every 12 weeks on the NHS, so I also need to see a chiropodist privately every 8 weeks.

I need to walk with a rollator walker, and have problems getting on public transport so mainly need to use taxis. I also struggle to hold a hairdryer, so now need to go to a hairdresser twice a week. I have to take the money from my pension. My mobility scooter needs new batteries occasionally; walker parts wear out and need to be replaced - it all adds up.
