Gavin Poole - Trustee

He spent four years at the Centre for Social Justice (CSJ), the independent think tank set up by Iain Duncan-Smith MP. Gavin spent 20 months as Executive Director supervising a period of intense business change including changes to a number of leadership positions and the launch of three new major policy initiatives. 

Prior to this, Gavin was the Strategy Director at CSJ where he devised and delivered an implementation strategy for social policy across government that could be adopted by an incoming government.

Gavin also built a fundraising team and increased income from £800,000 to £1.3 million.  He is widely published in the media and a frequently used commentator with experience of briefing cabinet politicians, international politicians and senior government officials.

Recently he has joined a start-up technology/funder joint venture in a major £50 million bid for the Olympic Park, which is a complex project with multiple stakeholders requiring intensive and sensitive engagement with company owners, funding partners, politicians and the media.
