Grethe Ridgway - Chair of the Development Committee
Grethe has been a member of the Services, Human Resources and Development Committees. She has also served on the Scope Fostering Service Panel, using her skills and experience to provide advice and oversee placements.
Grethe’s most recent post was as an Executive Director of Quality and Director of Nursing with the Southampton Primary Care Trust. She is very client focused with experience of public service delivery and has worked closely with social services. She also has a high level of strategic planning and governance experience. She was the Executive Lead Director for Equality and Diversity and has been involved with the development, implementation, monitoring and review of Equality Schemes, including that relating to Disability and Gender Equality. She has a particular interest in the transition of services for disabled people from children’s services to adulthood.
Grethe also has a personal reason for her commitment to Scope. Her son has cerebral palsy and was a Scope user until he transferred to independent living last year.
