Ian Black - Treasurer and Chair of the Resources Committee

Ian was a management consultant and then senior director in financial services, including insurance, investment and banking. He has a track record in leading start-ups, operations and closure of high-profile, multi-million pound retail businesses in the UK and internationally.

He has wide experience in working with regulators and boards at high levels. Ian is a Fellow of the both The Chartered Institute of Accountants and Bankers. He is also a non-executive director of companies in the retail, wholesale and education sectors as well his local Health Foundation Trust.

Ian was Chair of Scope from October 2007 to February 2008, when he successfully led the governance review. He also has a son with cerebral palsy.
