Rachael Wallach - Trustee
Most recently this has been as a Joint Commissioner of services for disabled children, young people and their families, as an Ambassador for the Strengthening Disabled People’s User Led Organisations’ Programme and through lived experience as a disabled person.
Rachael cites her motivation for pursuing a career in public sector management as wanting to improve services for and to tackle the barriers faced by disabled people. With significant experience of strategy development and delivery, commissioning services, trusteeship in a large disability charity, Rachael has experience of the value of developing services in the emerging context of personalisation.
With a background in local government and a public appointment in central government, Rachael has developed an excellent understanding of the drivers, constraints and decision-making process within the public sector at a political and operational level and advocates joint working with other organisations.
