Summary:
Rupy is a disabled person and has been heavily involved in disability issues since a young age.
She has just completed two years as National Disabled Students’ Officer for the National Union of Students (NUS) and is currently a Trustee for the Disabled Students’ Allowances - Quality Assurance Group which has given Rupy a good understanding of the role of Trustees.
Prior to this, Rupy has sat on other groups working on disability issues and established a society to support disabled people.
She feels she will bring the perspective and challenge of being a young, disabled woman to the Board and contribute to Scope’s work.
