Director of Fundraising

Full Name:
Alan Gosschalk
Job Title:
Director of Fundraising
Summary:
Alan is responsible for maximizing our voluntary fundraising income: namely from individuals (mostly regular gifts and legacies), events (eg London Marathon), companies, philanthropic donors, trusts and foundations, and grant funding from EU and statutory sources.

Before joining Scope, Alan was Fundraising Director at Shelter and RNID. For five consecutive years, readers of Fundraising magazine voted him one of the top three most influential people in fundraising, partly for his role in galvanising the sector to be more transparent and accountable. He was the Vice Chair of the Institute of Fundraising for six years and is still a trustee of Hope and Homes for Children, an overseas charity.

Alan says, “Disabled people need a strong and effective Scope more than ever. I was attracted by Scope's very ambitious vision, underpinned by the great work that we already do. Being able to transform the world around us is something I really want to be part of."
