Homeware volunteer, nationwide

What will I be doing?

• Sorting through household goods that have been donated, keeping an eye out for any unusual or valuable items
• Pricing glassware, crockery and ornaments appropriately, taking into account the age, condition, collectability of items
• Helping maintain a continuous supply of fresh items on our shelves
• Arranging bric-a-brac into themed displays, for example, kitchenware and crockery

What skills do I need?

• A keen interest in collectables, antiques and homeware
• A knowledge of the value of collectables would be really helpful, as would previous experience in antique or second-hand shop work
• The ability to work as part of a team
