Scope services
Scope's services focus on four main areas where disabled people face the greatest inequality: early years, education, independent living and work. We also provide local support services which respond to the needs identified by disabled people in their communities.
early years
Scope wants all parents and carers of children with cerebral palsy to have access to information and support when they need it most. We support the Face 2 Face parent befriending schemes and promote Conductive Education through a national network of Schools for Parents, to teach parents effective ways to help their child develop.
education
Scope's schools and colleges offer young disabled people an environment tailored to their needs and abilities. We also work with families and local authorities to promote the inclusion of disabled pupils in mainstream schools.
adults' services
We run residential and small group homes, supported independent living schemes and day and respite services. We cater for the individual needs of adults with a wide range and degree of impairment, enabling them to exercise real choice in the way they lead their lives.
work
Scope runs skills development centres and a variety of projects aimed at increasing disabled people's employment opportunities. We work with Government to support disabled people into open employment through schemes such as WORKSTEP and Jobbroker.
local support services
Scope can offer information, advice and support to disabled people and their families. We also work with local groups to encourage the development of new and existing services that meet needs identified locally.
