You know it gets tougher to write new, innovative, non-repetitive and funky blogs. I guess when you have a routine of work, and (unfortunately) cannot travel every week, this is unavoidable. On the flip side, with random events, news articles and the variety we have in the world; the task is not impossible either. So I turn to the personal, the political and the possible…

Other than writing this blog for your lovely selves I am leaving my additional projects alone this weekend. Since xmas I planned to think how an online seminar would work, market it to an audience, present the sessions myself and evaluate the feedback. It took a lot of effort but I achieved this and am proud to say all went well. I need a couple of weeks to get my energy back, look at what worked and what needs improving, and then go again.

Yes, you guessed it, he has been away again! The back story/self justification is ;-) while the sale of my old car funded an amazing trip to the US, I didn’t get much sun and warmth. As a good friend once said, you cannot run your body like a gas station, or something of that vibe. Basically life needs to be full of balance. Good sleep, food and exercise alongside fun, spontaneous/planned debauchery and life's little treats. Occasionally I am guilty of working too much, lacking sleep and eating less healthily. This is when my body hits ‘empty’ and my attempts to blitz a recovery take a little longer than I would like.

I am sat writing this blog in my old skool wheelchair that has dead batteries and not offering me the best of comfort! I have taken a day's annual leave, knowing the weekend was going to be tiring in a debauched kind of way. More to come. So in knowing I would sleep most of the morning, I took the opportunity to get my normal wheelchair booked in round the corner from mums at the repair shop.
