I was loathed to write another slightly down trodden health update blog. Quickfire words are still on antibiotics, lung feeling slightly clearer and keeping my chin up. So here's a different blog...

I am attempting to type through the constant coughing to tax my brain and ignore the strange liquid living in my lung at present. Yes, thats right, it must be that time of year where I get the worlds nastiest chest infection. I guess theres never an ideal time to be ill but I have had to miss a couple of things I was really looking forward to this week. Also there is a whole load of other feelings and emotions I go through, explained in a couple of blogs about 1 year ago. Mainly around work, I hate being ill from work and every day off I am just willing the medicine to kick in.

So the long awaited and highly debated spending review finally took place. I was asked if I would mind watching the coverage, writing some tweets and have them fed into the Scope website. Was a pleasure to take part in such an event and interact with others on the issues. The first wave of emotion I felt was relief, just at the realisation we could finally hear the plans and not have to wait any longer. The normal prime ministers questions were a non event and a definite calm before the storm.

For a rare occasion I am not going to waffle or give lots of detail of my recent activities. Mainly because I learnt after a blog many moons ago that as open as I am, some people like their news kept private. Quite right too. So in the realms of some privacy for the individual who fell unwell at the weekend, and in favour of some overarching thoughts, I am keeping this broad.

The last blog was actually a week ago. When I first realised I was concerned as I take pride in my regular contact. Then I realised partly ‘quality beats quantity’ and partly it was a sign of my new found self honesty. There have been many times the past year I have pushed my body a little too far. You will remember the recent blog on how I had realised my health must come first. So in slowing down, there has been less to report. Furthermore I have felt a little tired to conjure up a good article.
