Many disabled people and others on low incomes who can’t afford lawyers are supported by legal aid advisers. Last year, thousands of disabled people were helped by legal aid advisers to overturn inaccurate benefits decisions that had left them struggling without the means to live.
Join our network of people working together to achieve change in their community and beyond. You’ll be the voice of disabled people in your community and will feed directly into Scope’s campaign work.
The Independent Living Fund (ILF) affords dignity and independence to some 21,000 disabled people with high support needs living in the UK. The Government has decided to remove the ILF from 2015.
