Training
Scope's Early Years Team can offer a diverse mix of training.
Inclusion
Scope has produced specific information aimed at supporting the inclusion of disabled children in early years settings:

Communication
Early Years – communication passport template (pdf - 100k) offers a simple, practical guide about the non-verbal child, so people can quickly understand their needs.
Play Talks (pdf, 200k) - a pack that contains fun ways to promote communication through play for children under five who have additional needs. A useful resource for parents and hands-on professionals alike.

Scope Early Years Team produces a monthly e-newsletter Register to receive email updates
Right From The Start
Scope’s report, Right From the Start, (pdf, 626k) was first published in June 1994. It highlighted the experiences of parents at the time their child was diagnosed as having additional needs.
Launched in 2003 the Right From the Start Template (pdf, 500k) contains key principles and a good practice framework for sharing the news. The RFTS working group designed an audit model to enable statutory services to evaluate the quality of service received by parents.
