Living at Beaumont

Students live on campus in a range of well-equipped accommodation, which takes into account both their need to develop independence and their need for appropriate support. This enables students to develop their independence skills in a realistic way while receiving the support they need from our multidisciplinary team. The level of support given to each student is specified in their individual programme.

For resident students, accommodation is fully accessible with lift access to upper floors. We also have supported independent living areas within college as well as shared and single bedrooms, many with overhead tracking hoists. All bedrooms are linked to a computer and telephone network system. Bathrooms and toilet facilities are also accessible. We have a restaurant at college that can cater for any dietary requirements.

The residential aspect of the college enables students to assume greater control and autonomy over their own lives. This development is supported by a strong emphasis on personal and social development, communication and interpersonal skills, and self-advocacy.
