Hi there,

I was just wondering if you have heard about the Trailblazers campaign to make cinemas more accessible. The young campaigners have made a short film and written a report on the issues that affect young disabled people who go to their local cinemas.

Please see our findings and sign our petition to get a better service for disabled move fans.

What an excellent short film. A good point well made. I like to take my 2 children to the cinema. They are both wheelchair users and are aged 13 and 17. My main complaint is that often space for wheelchairs is often a big gap, meant for 4 or 5 wheelchairs to be placed side by side. This often means that wheelchair users can't sit with the rest of their family, and I can't guarantee being able to sit next to my daughter who needs attention throughout a film. It would be so much better to have one row of flexible seating, with moveable seating for carers and friends to place next to wheelchairs as needed.
