I have just started work experience for the international website www.specialfriends.com you may have heard of which caters for parents/carers and people with learning Disabilities.
I am asking if you can help me as one of my first jobs is to ask people to submit parent stories for the parents section . This will be a great resource for other parents and if you are a member
I’m sure they would like your help. I also need to find more Stars and Heroes for our achievement section, stars are people with LD of all ages who can just tell us about themselves
in Heroes we have a man with Downs Syndrome who climbed Everest, a girl who swam the channel, Special Olympic and music Heroes etc but would like to add more for our members.
I would also appreciate your comments on our video CV in action project helping members gain employment and our special hearts project which we feel is much needed but in a totally safe
environment, I hope you can help and look forward to meeting you one day on specialfriends
