My daughter wears pedro boots and is going into reception next year and will be doing PE. I wondered if anyone could give me any advice on what type of footwear I need to get her for PE. The reason I am asking is that the orthotic clinic is not very forthcoming with information. Can anyone provide me with any advice?

Hi, Piedro do a range of trainer type boots, they have the same sort of support as the standard piedro boots. they are called orthosport if I remember rightly. I used to wear the for PE before I went into splints for the first time. Then I got them from my physio - but that was way back in the early 90's so I don't know if the system has changed now.
You can buy them privately over the net, but they are very pricey - the last pair I bought a year or so ago cost me nearly £80 and that was in the sale!!
Saying that, that was for adult sized, I know that childrens ones often come up on ebay. But it is probably worth speaking to your physio or orthotist.
hope this helps
