Over the past few days it's become clear that the Government will now replace the current Disability Living Allowance with the PIP scheme throughout the north of England, with other regions following soon after.

The introduction of the scheme will subsequently result in major changes to disability requirements and benefits for new claimants. Including, the need for continued re-assessment.

It’s clear that it’ll be two years before most of the 3.3 million existing claimants begin moving over to PIP, disability charity Scope says 600,000 people will eventually lose their financial support.

Currently, Government funded schemes like the Mobility Allowance are still available for use. Which, from the popularity of this scheme, is going to remain a lifeline for the disabled.

How do you feel about these current changes in the Government's disability allowance? Most importantly, how will this impact your current financial situation?
