Hi there,I have a 12 year old daughter who has mild CP. She is usually a happy,confident and popular child but since having surgery a year ago has really struggled. She has just started highschool and has to wear leg splints all day. School have been really supportive but she is so unhappy, she feels that her splints really restrict her physically and she says that she's not sure who she can trust.
I would love to hear from parents or kids who may have had this problem or who are currently having issues with splints.

I also have a twleve year old but he is a boy which i think makes wearing splints a little different boys wear trousers and girls like to wear skiirts etc although he still hates wearing splints and will only wear them for school wont wear them on school holidays , he hates them.. maybe if you talk to your physio they may let your daughter try night splints but they are not the most comfortable thing but she will still be getting the stretches that are needed its worth a try as she maybe a little happier and compramise maybe the way, but saying that my son wont wear night splints either xx
