Hi

I would be interested to hear any views good or bad relating to experiences of using a disability advisors in the old employment service jobcetres or jobcentre plus or other employment service organisations.

I was in a job for almost 4 years, and it was a job I enjoyed and could do. A Disability Employment Advisor was sent in to watch me do the job. All she did was pick up the tool I use for a second and watch me doing nothing. She said the job was unsafe for me to do and I was forced to resign. This was 2 years ago and I've been unemployed since.

i was under a disability employment advisor when i was working, she helped with getting a job, and if had any problems i would call her. didn't really see her. worked under 16 hrs so could get jobseekers aswell as pay. if i needed any adaption in the work place they would of had it assesed and ortured but i didn't need it.

Hi guys

As luck would have it, i am using this service now to find a new job, I feel that my advisor is good (he is an old colleague of mine) he is genuinely interested in helping me, but the system is still the same. Its all about submitting people for jobs and searching for jobs. Sometimes we just looked at jobs that I am not remotely interested in considering.
