My name is Alexander Dack and I am a student at the Centre for Journalism at the University of Kent. I am in my third year and for my final year project I have to construct a half hour radio documentary on a subject of my choice.

The topic I have chosen for my project is how a clause in the Government’s welfare reform bill may mean that soon many parents of disabled children may not be able to afford to keep looking after their children, as their funding will be cut so drastically.

I am looking for families who would be willing to assist me with my project by allowing me to interview them about this matter. I would like to conduct the interviews face to face but I’m also open to telephone interviews.

This issue is very close to my heart as my little brother, Ben, is disabled and naturally, I too am concerned about how these cuts may affect my family.

Please contact me by email if you are willing to help and we can arrange a date and time for the interview. Any help I receive is greatly appreciated.

My email address is ad329@kent.ac.uk.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post and for those of you kind enough to help me, I look forward to your response.
