How To Apply

The first stage is the application form.

The second stage is the Assessment Centre.

The third stage is employer assessment (varies depending on employer)

The second stage of recruitment is the Assessment Centre. This is a one-day event consisting of various exercises designed to test the candidate's competencies in work-based situations.

Assessment Centres are held in different locations at venues provided by our employer partners.

Scope runs each centre and makes sure each candidate's access requirements are addressed fairly. Employer partners provide staff to act as assessors to assess the candidates. Scope provides disability equality training to the assessors in advance of each centre.

There will be between six and ten candidates at each centre. The candidates are placed in a variety of situations to enable assessors to observe the candidates against a list of set criteria / competencies. There are four exercises in all - a presentation, an interview, a case study exercise and a group discussion exercise.

All candidates who demonstrate the required criteria at an assessment centre will be offered a place on the programme. In this respect, the assessment centre is a non-competitive process. You are competing against the criteria, not against the standard of the other candidates.
