Cerebral Palsy Toolkit

Welcome to the Scope CP Toolkit, which is being built over the coming months. Read our blog on our progress so far.

We hope it will become an invaluable resource for families, teachers and professionals to enable understanding of the needs of children with cerebral palsy in education.

This project is supported by the Department for Education and will provide key information, guidance and training that teachers and professionals in mainstream schools can access to build their knowledge.

The toolkit is being developed with the support of many families, children and professionals – many thanks to you all.

Early years

Information on play, parent support and encouraging early communication and getting ready to use an electronic aid.

Primary schools

Advice on inclusion, literacy and numeracy (including shape, space and time, number bonds, money, early number acquistion and conservation of number).

Secondary schools

Get tips on fatigue, access to English, Maths, Science and how to make exams more inclusive.

Training

Advice on cerebral palsy in depth.
