This section is an in-depth look at the main subjects studied in schools and early years settings. There are sections on each subject:
Within each section you'll find information about the subjects at each level - the early years, at P levels 4-8 and KS1-3.
We set out the requirements at each stage and discuss how these apply to children with different impairments. We then include plenty of advice and practical tips to help schools adapt teaching in a way that's inclusive and effective.
Many of the issues that affect children with particular impairments apply across subjects and levels, so it's always a good idea to read the subject-specific advice alongside the general information about each impairment.
