Sleep Solutions - Hannah's story

"Hannah is a very happy and bright girl who has cerebral palsy and epilepsy. Hannah is having problems to stay asleep since we can remember but specifically May 2006.

We had tried different methods and alternatives.

I have to admit that when I was invited to attend the Sleep Solutions workshop I was very sceptical. I thought I knew everything and nobody could help us.

Before the sleep course

Hannah settled OK but woke up until mum or dad slept with her. If we were strong, it could be up to five times a night. Most nights, she knew that after her third attempt we were in her bed. Sometimes, she wanted to talk and play.

Next day, she was exhausted and used to get a call from school to pick her up.

After getting our sleep routine and applying it

Hannah settled well and wakes up three times in the WEEK (not night).

She sometimes wakes up at 4:45 am but we tuck her in, leave her room until she wakes up at 7:00 am.

I am very happy to invest the time in the routine. The ladies who run Sleep Solutions know from experience, and the heart, how difficult it is to have a broken sleep. They know their stuff and have helped us a great deal.

Thanks again, Maggy."
