Trendsetters' cerebral palsy information
Trendsetters started out as a pilot project only for young people with cerebral palsy. We're really pleased that with the help of Children in Need and Rank Foundation the project has now grown bigger, so any young disabled person can become a Trendsetter, whatever condition you have.
Trendsetters told us that they would find it useful to have information about cerebral palsy for young people, because they were tired of having to explain themselves all the time.
"It’s hard to write and draw as I have difficulty controlling my hands.” Eoin
"Noisy places make thinking harder.” Leo
"My speech can be difficult to understand because the muscles around my throat are affected. But I have plenty to say!" Jabe
Cerebral palsy postcards
As Scope provides a number of resources about cerebral palsy, we are delighted to be able to add postcards – especially designed for young people, and made with a lot of hard work by the Trendsetters - to our collection.
We hope you like them, but whatever your views we would love to hear them. All your thoughts, ideas or comments will be taken into account with any future resources we might develop.
Check out this blog about business cards produced by Harry, a Trendsetter from Doncaster, who also has cerebral palsy. We hope it will give people an idea about how to make their own versions that are individual to their own condition if they feel this would be useful too.
