Trendsetters' guide to life

In Autumn 2012 some young disabled people took part in a Trendsetters workshop. The aim of the day was to think about all the different things that can help people lead the life they want.

Sometimes it's easy to feel that it is all down to the person whose life it is, but actually there are lots of other things that are important too!

Trendsetters wanted to share some of what was talked about, so have put together this 'guide to life' for other young people.

Find out how different things can help you lead the life you want, by clicking on the links below. We've suggested an activity for each area if you want to get really interactive!

The workshop was run by a team from Advocreate, and based on research Scope has carried out with Manchester Metropolitan University.

Meet Dayo (in the box on the right) who the Trendsetters spent the workshop helping to overcome obstacles in his life. Please note that he is one of the Advocreate team so all his problems were made up, but he did star in a rather important ceremony!
