English and children with ASD at P level 5

Additional challenges to meet at P Level 5 are around vocabulary and responding.

You can:

• Help child will learn new vocabulary by keeping it consistent and in context. 
• Try games of picture bingo and snap using symbols, pictures or photos.
• Computers tend to appeal to children with Asperger’s syndrome, so use a basic program (for example Paint) as an alternative to a pencil and paper.
