The national curriculum for PSHE is non-statutory in maintained mainstream schools. This means you don't have to teach PSHE, but the value of its input is widely recognised and the National Curriculum is the recommended route. An appropriate version will be used in maintained special schools.
Find out the requirements of this subject at the different P levels and key stages of learning. If you know the impairment, learn about the challenges you might find within each level and stage of learning, and solutions and resources to try.
