PSHE at KS3 and visual impairment

The challenges remain the same as at KS1 but assistive technology should be more relevant. Take advice from a teacher of visually impaired pupils and offer support for the individual VI pupil.

Make resources and activities as visual as possible; as in KS2, drama is an effective way of getting PSHE messages across, and at this level pupils working in groups can create their own drama to get key points across. Ensure that the other group members are supportive and inclusive of the VI pupil.
