PSHE: communication difficulties at P level 6

The challenge at P level 6 is in co-operative working and turn-taking, and showing concern for others. Use the techniques in P level 4 to develop co-operative working.

The vocabulary for showing concern and understanding of others in distress will need introducing in advance and programmed into communication aids, if relevant. Augmentative signing, using Makaton, will help focus on the emotional aspect of empathising with others. Use role play as for dyslexia across the P levels.
