PSHE: dyslexia at P level 5

The dyslexic pupil may need support to express their feelings verbally. As at P level 4, keep all teaching methods as multisensory as possible so that the pupil reinforces their learning in different ways.
Encourage the pupil to use symbols, photographs or to show their own facial expressions. Reinforce the vocabulary of social skills through visual examples. Encourage role play, even if it’s as simple as saying goodbye to someone the pupil likes a lot, or saying hello to them.
Ask what does their face feel like, could they draw the way their mouth is shaped when they are happy, or sad?
