PSHE: visual impairment at P level 7
Learning cause and effect, and hence right from wrong may need support for visually impaired pupils who have no, or very little, functional sight. Continue with the strategies from all other P levels.
You can:
- Use role play to act out situations that establish right and wrong. Follow up with discussions. For example, act out a scenario where a pupil snatches something from another. Talk through the scenario; asking what the pupils involved felt, and identifying why this was wrong (selfish, rude) and being clear about what the pupil could have done instead, and why this is better. Use consistent terminology.
