Science and dyslexia at P level 5

The additional challenges at P level 5 are concepts such as before and after and demonstration. Support the child in activities that involve trying things out and responding to questions using scientific language.

You can:
- Make sure all language is used clearly and in context, as at P level 4
- Support the use of new vocabulary in visual and practical contexts, recapping on key words and concepts
- Reinforce the concept of before and after through regular class routines and by referring to these words in context at other times of the day
