A challenge for a hearing impaired child at P level 5 may be in vocabulary and understanding concepts of before and after. Use examples from the school’s daily routine to illustrate before and after, in a visual timetable.

They may also find it difficult to show and demonstrate through lack of self-confidence, so support them and give positive feedback.
