How does Scope use donations and how much do you spend on administration?

For every £1 we receive (excluding shops trading):

• 88p goes directly to our work with disabled people and their families
• 4p goes towards our governance and running costs
• 8p is invested to generate further income

How can I donate?

There are several ways to make a donation to Scope. You can make a regular monthly donation by direct debit. A regular gift ensures that we are able to plan for future projects ensuring that disabled people and their families receive the support they need.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a government scheme that allows charities to reclaim the tax on your donations. This means that every £10 you give under the Gift Aid scheme is worth £12.50 to us - at no extra cost to you. Find out more about Gift Aid.

Will you keep in touch to tell me what my money is helping to achieve?

We’ll write to you to keep you updated with what your gift is helping to achieve. We’ll also email you occasionally if you opted in to receive email when you made your donation. Don’t worry if you didn’t – you can sign up to our email newsletter now or you can visit our dedicated supporters’ area to get all the latest on our work and the difference your support makes.

Can we visit Scope projects?

We want to keep you updated about the work you’re supporting with your donation. If you’d like more details about specific projects and whether they are holding open days for the public, please contact us by emailing supportercare@scope.org.uk or call 020 7619 7296.

How do I increase my donation?

You can increase the value of your gift by calling us on 020 7619 7296. Thank you!

How do I change my details?

If you’ve moved house or changed banks and want to update your details call us on 020 7619 7296 and we’ll be happy to help.

How can I cancel my regular donation?
