Tell us about yourself
I am a student from a small town in the United States called Russiaville, Indiana. I attend Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to study abroad in London and intern at Scope. Some of my responsibilities on the digital team are user acceptance testing and competitor research. Scope is the first charity I have ever worked for.
What do you enjoy most about the work?
Working with other people here at Scope is what I enjoy most about my job. Not only is everyone friendly, but they all love what they do. I also love what I do here at Scope. I feel that my work is worthwhile and something that I can take pride in doing. I enjoy doing whatever I can to help Scope make a difference.
What has Scope enabled you to do?
Scope has enabled me to become a more confident person. On my first day here at Scope I was assigned a research project. I didn’t feel like I had enough experience to take on such a big task, but the people here at Scope were confident that I would get the job done right. I feel that seeing how confident others were in me made me more confident in my own abilities. Scope has also given me room to grow and gain valuable experience. I have been given the opportunity to meet new people and learn something new every day. Lastly, I have been given the chance to help Scope make a difference.
What’s the best part of your Scope experience?
My best experience at Scope has to be my entire internship here. I have learned something new every day and have met amazing people. I have been given the chance to help do something meaningful here in the community. I consider myself blessed to have been given the opportunity to work for such a great organisation and alongside such wonderful people. My internship here at Scope will be something I will never forget.
