Hamilton House provides person-centred day opportunities for adults with learning and physical disabilities in the Brighton and Hove area.
We are looking for activity support workers to join our team providing support to the customers who use the service both within the centre and out in the community.
Activity support workers will be expected to work with people in a way that promotes their choice and control at all times.
You will work closely with customers to support them in activities of their choice and provide the necessary support for people as required.
You will undertake a key-worker role and work closely with the customer, their families and other professionals to best meet the person's requirements.
There are also regular opportunities for additional hours at weekends supporting people directly from their homes, and we welcome applications from people willing to cover these shifts

Your emphasis will be on physical development and postural management programmes working with young people aged 19 to 26.
You will work alongside our full time Physiotherapist and closely within the multi-disciplinary team using your skills and experience to support their work.
You will have experience of working with people with long term impairments such as Cerebral Palsy.

You will work as part of team, supporting young people to develop, being involved in and delivering educational programmes.

To apply for the position of Senior Support Worker you must hold a Level 3 NVQ in Care or equivalent.
As well as excellent development prospects you will be entitled to:
• A flexible rota – with 7 days off in 14.
• Accommodation available on site - only £130 per month.
