Scope Cymru

Scope Cymru is Scope in Wales. Scope Cymru's vision is that disabled people achieve equality. Scope Cymru develops and promotes a number of local and national initiatives to enable us to achieve our aim.

The team also maintains relationships with local disabled people's groups and associations, including organisations affiliated to Scope.

Scope services in Wales include:

Bridging the Gaps volunteer project, which trains older volunteers from black and ethnic minority (BME) communities who have a disability or long-term illness to become actively involved with disabled people's organisations (DPOs) across Wales.

Craig-y-Parc School, which offers a broad, balanced education to pupils aged between three and 16.

Cwmbran Skills Development Centre (SDC), which creates opportunities for disabled people to choose and develop their individual lifestyles.

Sully Skills Development Centre (SDC), the nucleus of several innovative projects and activities that enable disabled people to acquire skills for independent living.

Work Preparation, an individually tailored programme designed to help people with health conditions or impairments return to work after a long period of sickness or unemployment.

WORKSTEP is a government-funded programme to assist disabled people. It involves a partnership between an employer, a disabled employee and Scope's Employment Service.

The Rees Centre in Kenfig Hill, Bridgend is home to the Sharing Art and Bridgend Inclusion Project.
