On Saturday 29 January the Link Up Club's flamenco group performed at an evening of integrated dance at the Brindley Arts Centre in Runcorn.
The event was organised by Live! and also featured Independance, the Live! Smash and Grab project and the GCSE dance group from New Scene. Our group did a flamenco mix inspired by Arabic dances, the bull-fight and contemporary moves, choreographed by Christine Stockton. Kim danced a solo in the Vidalita, choreographed by Maria del Mar and accompanied by the graceful fans of the other women.
A professional choreographer at the show said, "Everyone danced and played with enthusiasm and energy. The solo was beautifully performed. All the audience were caught up in the atmosphere created."
The Link Up Club is based at Scope's Chester Skills Development Centre.
