Social care in Wales survey

Disabled man and PA

The Welsh Government is consulting on the Social Services (Wales) Bill. Scope Cymru intends to respond to this consultation but wants the views of disabled people living in Wales to feed into this.

You can find a copy of the full consultation on Social Services (Wales) Bill.

We have created a survey for disabled people, families and carers in Wales. It will ask about your experiences of using local social services. If you participate in our survey, you do not have to answer all of the questions (except those marked with a green asterisk) and some questions may not be relevant to you. If you are a parent or carer and the question asks about 'your' experiences, this means both your experiences as a parent or carer and the experiences of the person you care for.

This bill will reform many elements of social services in Wales. The Welsh Government will make changes to eligibility criteria and plan to make it easier for people to move care packages when they move house, as well as planning to increase the number of people on direct payments. By completing the survey, you can ensure your views are included in our response to this important piece of legislation.

The survey should take no more than 15 minutes. Access our social care survey now.

If you have any comments on any other areas of the bill, have any questions or would like a copy of this survey in Welsh or any other format, please email matthew.ogrady@scope.org.uk
