Scope’s schools

We’ll never set limits on a disabled child’s potential.

Craig y Parc has given us the best possible start.”

Our schools

  • Focus on each child at every stage of their development.
  • See the child – all of the characteristics that make them special and unique, not just their impairment or condition.
  • Help disabled children and their families target and achieve their goals.
  • Create and develop opportunities for disabled children to pursue their potential in our schools, at home or in the community.

Take a look at our schools. Ask us questions.

“Three years at Scope's Beaumont College have given me the skills, confidence and knowledge I need to make my own way in the world.”

Admission

We welcome students from any local authority and have a nationwide catchment area. For admission to a school, either on a day basis or as a resident:

  • contact the Principal
  • visit the school
  • a multi-disciplinary assessment and report is written
  • initial decision made as to whether the school can meet the child’s needs
  • a place is offered.

During this process there will be ongoing discussions between parents, us and the local authority. We can offer advice and guidance about the processes involved for funding.

Next steps

And when it’s time for your child to move on after school, we’ll be there alongside you offering our transition service, such as Belvoir Lodge, giving the opportunity for independent living in community-based and adapted accommodation.

“I really can’t believe we found a service so perfect for Amanda as Belvoir Lodge.” Mrs Simms, Amanda’s Mum.
