The other care crisis
Making social care funding work for disabled adults in England
This report, produced by Scope and four other disability charities, highlights the scale of the crisis in social care facing disabled people. It explores the negative impacts this has on daily life, including being unable to wash, get dressed and get out of the house and restricts opportunities to volunteer, work and participate in community life. It calls for increased access to local authority funded social care to promote independence, choice and control.
