Craig y Parc School: a special school for disabled children
RATED: Good with outstanding features - read Craig y Parc's latest inspection.
Craig y Parc School is a place where pupils come to learn, live and get the most out of life. Situated on the outskirts of Cardiff, we combine a range of education, social activities and residential care for pupils with cerebral palsy and other complex support needs.
We work with pupils to focus on learning, ability and independence. With classroom space for 56 pupils aged between 3-19, the school is both well-equipped and expertly staffed.
Curriculum
There are five main curriculum areas: Foundation, Primary, Secondary, 14-16 and Post-16. Conductive Education, Sensory and Sensory Movement with Communication are all essential parts of every learning activity.
Staffing
All are supported by highly experienced teachers and learning assistants as well as an on-site team of physical, speech and language, and music therapists; nurses; communication and technology specialists; social care and clinical experts; aroma and hydrotherapists.
Mobility Opportunities Via Education (MOVE)
Craig y Parc is a Centre of Excellence for Mobility Opportunities Via Education (MOVE) – the only school in Wales.
The school not only provides a safe pair of hands but challenges the students to reach their full potential.

We're social, follow us!
