Craig y Parc School: a special school for disabled children

Craig y Parc’s Conductive Education curriculum is led by a group of Hungarian Conductor Teachers who have trained and worked together for more than ten years. With the help of other education professionals they have adapted the programme specifically for children aged between three and 16 in the UK, combining Conductive Education with the National and / or EQUALS Curriculum.

Conductor Teachers ensure there are regular meetings with students, parents and carers (both in groups and one-to-one) to create detailed Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for a school and home-based curriculum. These may include techniques for eating and drinking or transferring from a wheelchair to an ordinary chair for maximum independence.
