Face 2 Face offers a one-to-one befriending service for parents discovering their child is disabled.
This scheme was officially launched at The Care Network in Radstock following completion of the first training course in April 2001. Emotional support is offered to parents living in BANES, North and West Wiltshire who have recently learnt that their child has an impairment or special educational need, or at any other time a parent feels overwhelmed with issues relating to their child's impairment. All befrienders are parents of children or young people with additional needs who will offer friendship and support in your home or another convenient location. The service is confidential and will continue as long as a parent wants.
