David Jones House, Trafford
David Jones House is an adapted one-storey accessible house-share in Urmston, Trafford, Greater Manchester. It is designed for two disabled young people aged 18-30 and offers support to meet individual needs.
Thanks to a generous donation from the David Jones Trust, Scope has developed this supported living transition service to provide young disabled people with their first experience of living in their own home.
Our accessible facilities
The house includes private bedrooms with adapted en suite bathrooms, a shared kitchen and living room, high-quality fixtures and fittings, and an excellent outdoor space. The location, near Trafford Shopping Centre, provides excellent access to activities and services.
Our transition support
Scope understands the challenges young disabled people and their families face when looking to move on from college and out of the family home.
Young people living at David Jones House will receive support to develop independent living skills, grow confidence and fully participate in the community through leisure activities, employment or further education.
Using this service
We want to hear from young people, their families or anyone who works with disabled young people who would benefit from this service. We are happy to discuss your needs further and arrange a visit.
