Age range: 0 – 4 / 5+
Half-day course

“I found that the trainer was extremely passionate about the subject and that added a lot of good information and enjoyment to the course.”

Eating is a social occasion and one of life’s main pleasures for most of us.

Meal times provide a valuable opportunity for communication and social interaction and are vital to enhance any young child’s social and communication skills.

When a child has complex support needs it can be difficult not just for the child but for the whole family. This training is based on the Food Talks pack, which provides practical tips to include children with eating difficulties.

Participants will:

  • learn more about general difficulties, including picky eaters, children fixed on one or a few foods, tube feeding, impact on family and so on
  • recognise parents’ perceptions
  • be able to use food games
