Epilepsy awareness training

This course is ideal for any practitioners or carers supporting children or adults with epilepsy.

Learning outcomes

After attending the course, you will:

• Understand what epilepsy is, the different types and where in the brain they may be located
• Recognise common side-effects of medication
• Learn about alternative treatments aside from medication
• Know the impact on the child and family, behaviour and learning
• Be able to feel confident about including children with epilepsy
