Curriculum

The curriculum is designed in two stages; compulsory school age and 14-19. We are committed to the National Curriculum and deliver it in a way appropriate to the child’s learning. The compulsory school age accesses all elements of the National Curriculum and uses a cross-curriculum approach.

The 14-19 curriculum has three areas:

• world studies: science, technology, foreign culture, creativity (music, art, dance, drama) and world religions

• life skills: personal social and health education (PSHE), education, citizenship, leisure and recreation and daily living skills

• vocational studies: work-related learning, careers education, post-school guidance and planning
